All-American Car-i-oke

All-American Car-i-oke Review: A long roadtrip can be hard on kids no matter what they’re ages. This had something for everyone. We sang along to some classic songs that most of us had forgotten the words to. Whenever we were going thru somewhere we couldn’t pick up a station we used this. Also it came with extra books so noone had to share.

All-American Car-i-oke Review: This was good for at least an hour of no-bickering drive time. It isn’t “kiddie” music, so it’s entertaining for the adults, as well. Several extra copies of the lyrics mean you can lose one without harm. The cover and binding are durable, to put up with the abuses of living in a family vehicle. I’m looking at the holiday version next.

Build Your Own Radio Control Car

Build Your Own Radio Control Car Review: This car is a well made product. The assemble is easy. You can see how the motors work. There is no gluing, the screws and wires are easy to tighten.

The only problem is that the right front wheel came out of it’s place. So I switched the screw with the other one and it seems to stay. I would reccomend this toy if your kids are into cars. This was a very fun toy for me.

Alex Toys Car Valet

Alex Toys Car Valet Review: This valet has two removable crayon/pencil zippered pouches at the top, net pockets below, and a large plastic pocket which can accommodate a drawing pad etc. It closes with a zipper and has a front transparent pocket suitable for favorite photos/drawings and the like. It is made of soft bendable plastic, which seems safe enough. The down side of this is that the drawing/valet side is too soft to rest arms/hands on.

The back side of the valet is of the same soft material, and got torn a few weeks after I bought it. The zipper is of poor good quality and gets stuck a lot, and requires frequent intervention by an adult. The valet is attached onto the front seat by means of two straps that hug the seat using velcro. This looks ugly, is irritating to the person seated in the front seat, and it would not stay put in my vehicle. Overall, my son loved this item while it lasted. I like the idea, but the design is poor and the materials are cheap. Unlike the price.

Are We There Yet

Are We There Yet Review: I bought two of these books for my 9-year old and 12-year old daughters. They kept both of them entertained for two 5 hours rides with more left. My older daughter especially enjoyed searching for different license plates and checking them off in the book. I’d definitely recommend this book for older kids for a road trip.

Are We There Yet Review: This is a great book for long car trips or just to play at home. Some activities include:mini-mysteries, mazes, crossword puzzles, where to find this, coloring pages, car bingo and many, many other fun activities.Rand Mcnally is a great activity book company.I suggest getting this book, and SOON!

Playskool Wheel Pals Triple Track Tower

Playskool Wheel Pals Triple Track Tower Review: My two year old grandson opened the wheel pals triple track tower and loved it. He put the cars on the tower hit the button and clapped as they came down the ramp couldnt of had a better present for christmas.

Playskool Wheel Pals Triple Track Tower Review: This was a gift for our 18 month old son during the holidays. I decided to purchase the Playskool Wheel Pals Triple Track Tower because it was rated high on the Today Show and in Parent’s Magazine for toddlers 18-24 months. Our son loves this toy, and has played with it more often than any of the other gifts he received this year. It is simple for him to use, has matching car and track colors, and makes fun car noises. I would recommend this toy to any parent who has a child in this age range.

Pixar Cars

Pixar Cars Review: These are fun little collectibles.  After dealing with the Thomas The Tank recall I am somewhat leery of the product safety so have my son wash his hands after playing with them. They are great for imaginative play and ever so fun!

Pixar Cars Review: We own the Piston Cup 500 race track. By far, Sally is the fastest moving car for the track. These little die cast cars are durable and comparable to hotwheels.

Later Mater Game

Later Mater Game Review: I read the other bad reviews, but I thought my 3 year old son still would enjoy putting the pieces on the truck. He did, but the pieces do not stay on, even when the timer is turned off. My son found this very frustrating. Then, the third time we got the toy out to play, the timer mechanism broke completely, and unfortunately, this prevents the pieces from being put on the truck at all. This toy is a HUGE disappointment.

Later Mater Game Review: My son likes this toy but is not interested in putting it together before the time is up. The pieces are all over my house. I am still finding them from time to time. I am going to put all of it in some sort of bag to keep it together. He loves it but it is just too many pieces for his age (3, almost 4).

Vtech V.Smile Smartridge Cars

Vtech V.Smile Smartridge Cars Review: This game is heavily developed based on the actual movie. If you haven’t seen the movie, and/or your kid was too young to understand the plot, then they might not get the game.

Most of the adventures are based on the story plot. A lot of the adventures are a bit dumb, like McQueen bumping alphabet tires into a truck, McQueen tipping over the tractors based on counting smoke rings, McQueen herding the tractors back into the pen, McQueen driving down a long road and picking up shapes, McQueen driving down a road looking for Mack based on memory, McQueen dodging the firetruck water blast, etc. The only adventure I liked was the forklift picking up tire numbers and installing them on the race car.
