Best Travel Activity Book Ever

Best Travel Activity Book Ever Review:This is a good buy for young children. I was impressed with the variety. But many 8 year olds will find it too simple. For kids getting tired of coloring books, you might want to look into a Klutz book or something more exciting.

Best Travel Activity Book Ever Review: We bought this activity book for when we travel. It is pretty big with lots of pages to keep the kids busy during a long car or plane ride.

The Ultimate History of Video Games

The Ultimate History of Video Games Reviews: I’m a vintage game geek. I loved video games from my first Magnavox home system, through my Atari, NES, up to my PS2. I grew up in an arcade at my local shopping mall. I’ve not moved on to the current systems because life kind of make growing up a necessity. However I’ve always had fond memories for those early gaming years. Now that you know where I’m coming from, it’ll give a little background to my review.

This is a very well researched and written account of the birth and growth of the video game industry. I’ve read this book cover to cover and truly did enjoy the in-depth history and annectdotes that is put forth in the book. But I can’t say enough how much I was really wanting this book to be THE definitive book on the video/arcade game culture. That should include far more photos and captures from the games themselves. This book lacks severely for photos at all! The book reads a lot like a text book, but I think some re-formatting to something even like Jon Stewart’s “America” text would actually benefit this book. In fact, I’d be willing to pay the increased cost to have such a book.

Fox Sports Presents

Fox Sports Presents Reviews: I can’t hear this CD without getting thoroughly and completely pumped! Especially good is the “Fox Football Theme” which is played in its entirety. The commentaries by Pat Sumerall, John Madden, Terry Bradshaw, and others which are also included on this CD are especially interesting. Whether you are getting ready for the “big game” or just feel low, listening to this will boost your spirits 1000% It’s great!

Fox Sports Presents Reviews: Would have preferred to hear samples of each track before purchasing rather than seeing only a list of song titles.

Puzzle Master Deluxe Suite

Puzzle Master Deluxe Suite Reviews: This is a great jigsaw puzzle game. The feature I like best is taking an image of my computer wallpaper and making a puzzle out of it. I also made a puzzle out of a picture of my husband and myself. The game has trays that you can use to get pieces out of the way. You can also select multiple pieces at a time and move them all at once. Lots of fun.

Puzzle Master Deluxe Suite Reviews: Hours of enjoyment for the whole family! Many beautiful images to choose from. Excellent choice for a program the entire family can use. Many options for sizes of pieces, so even small ones can enjoy the challenge. Advanced builders can change the piece size, number or even the cut. Rotate pieces is also an option. enough puzzles that you can start over and never get bored, or even create puzzles out of your own pictures!

Macromedia Flash Professional 8 Game Development

Macromedia Flash Professional 8 Game Development Reviews: The book provides several examples that progress the reader through the programming of gradually more complex games. The reader should have a basic knowledge of Flash and Actionscript, as the book brushes over beginner-level concepts. At the time, the book is fairly up to date, however there is supposedly quite a jump between Flash 8 and Flash CS3, which uses Actionscript 3.0. Nonetheless, the concepts taught in the book are universally applicable regardless of what Flash version you are using. The inclusion of a CD-ROM is an added bonus and a must with this kind of book.

Macromedia Flash Professional 8 Game Development Reviews: As a physicist, I looked at the chapter on “Physics for Games”. It’s very introductory Newtonian mechanics. Applying these in time-discrete form for moving objects in the game. Gravity is considered for vertical motion, and wind is incorporated to affect horizontal motion. Freshman level stuff. If you are developing a game where you need to seriously incorporate physics, there are entire books devoted to it, like Physics for Game Developers.

Beginning Game Programming with Flash

Beginning Game Programming with Flash Reviews: This book is an incredible guide to learning ActionScript 3.0! So far I have only noted one MINOR typo in the code. The rest of the code appears to work flawlessly.

AS3 is a great new flavor of ActionScript but it can be tricky for those who are new to Flash or just new to 3.0. The projects are a lot of fun! By the time I made it through the book, I understood all the basic piece required to make my own Flash Game.

Travel Scavenger Hunt

Travel Scavenger Hunt Reviews: We bought this toy for a cross country trip with our 8 and 6 year-old children. They showed some interest in finding things, but since our six year-old doesn’t read well, he became frustrated with it. The cards ended up all over the floor and subsequently ripped.

Travel Scavenger Hunt Reviews: Ages 6-15 is perfect! We did bend the rules a little and decided that we would use the whole pack- and the person with the most cards at the end of the game wins! It was so much fun!

Miles of Smiles

Miles of Smiles Reviews: I’ve seen those ads for minivans with little monitors for passengers in the back seats to watch movies. Frankly, the idea of appals me! Don’t our children also need a vacation from TV & movies? How much real life are they missing? How dull will our children’s brains become, being force-fed with endless artificial stories?

“Are we there yet” is a question rarely asked when you bring MILES OF SMILES along on your journeys. It is a good book for travellers, chock-a-block with things to do with eyes & brains. Thinking on the move, exercising the brain cells, learning to wrap the tongue around strange words, thinking inside the head, rather than passively, staring into space as someone else’s ideas reel into the mind.

Guy Game

Guy Game Review: How pathetic do you have to be in order to buy a game just to see a naked women Secondly as a college woman I find it exceptionally demeaning.A womens intelligence should not have to be undermined to compensate for your low value of yourself. If you are not a sleaze then why would you need her to be portrayed like that anyways.Gross! I find it insulting they dumb ‘college girls’ down, and make it look like they’re purpose is solely to fawn around one man-it seems desperate and makes these women seem incompetent. I’m happy women make a majority of students at colleges today-clearly society knows who best to invest in.

Guy Game Review: My boyfriend and I agree that if a female OR a male is okay with this game, he/she has a very low IQ and is not able to understand the premise of the game. In the game, the more dumb the girl is, the more skin she shows. Hm, if you’re not stupid, then you just don’t care enough about self value and valuing other human beings to realize what is going on here.

Greg Hastings’ Paintball Max’D Tournament

Greg Hastings’ Paintball Max’D Tournament Review: Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball Max’d is probably the best paintball game on the market. If you like paintball, then you will like to play this game. There are some improvements over the old one. You can call out and tell your teammates where your opponents are. You can also tell them to move up, or attack. The game is also much more fun to play and doesn’t get as repetitive as the old one. There are much more guns to choose from, but your teammates are all the same. It basically has the same graphics so no improvements there. Also, it is longer, and if you beat it, you can go to it on hard mode and play it again. Overall, if you like paintball, you should buy this game, or even if you just like shooting people, buy this game.

Greg Hastings’ Paintball Max’D Tournament Review: This game is absolutly amazing. I love paintball and this is a very ralistic paintball shooter. Nothing can actually reaplace the real thing, but this comes close. I love that you are able to control your team, so they play like idiots. They have made just as many kills as I have and you can count on them to have your back. I also like the fact that your teamates let you know the position of enemy paintballers. You can customise your own guy buy upgrading his marker, armor, goggles ect. The graphics are pretty good and controlling is extremly simple and easy to use. I would recomend this game to anyone who loves paintball and can’t get out to the field every day. Even military shooter fans would probly enjoy this one.
