Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel

Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel Review: Great classic game. Much better than NES or DS. Bought one for my 28 year old son and one for my 8 year old grandsons. They love it. I’m not so good at it. Need an extra Wii wheel with it for each player.

Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel Review: While not the best thing to look at in the graphics department (especially during multiplayer races), this game manages to be extremely fun. The control scheme(s) are great, and while I am better when using the Wiimote/nunchuch scheme, I find myself wanting to use the Wii Wheel most often because it adds to the fun. The bottom line here is that everyone can enjoy this game, and the multiplayer never gets old. The best thing I can say about this game is that I will be playing it for as long as I own a Wii. A definite must buy for the Wii.

Playhut 3-in-1 Sports Arcade

Playhut 3-in-1 Sports Arcade Review: I thought this was a great toy for my two grandchildren who are 2-1/2 years old when they visit me. What a big disappointment. The balls never return to me they get stuck near the opening. When you throw them at the openings with the flap they never go through because the balls are to light and the flap stays in place. My granddchildren enjoyed climbing into it and just playing with the balls. I folded it up and returned it.

Playhut 3-in-1 Sports Arcade Review: This toy was fun while it lasted. It never stood up as nice as the picture shows it was always falling over and you had to prop it up against something. The kids liked it but my husband and I did not. They were always asking us to fix it! Wouldn’t recommend. We only had it for 9months and it was sent to the trash after it ripped.

ThinkFun Fifteen Puzzle

ThinkFun Fifteen Puzzle Review: I had ths “toy”as a child an remember the many hours of fun thst I had with it. I could not resist buying it for my granddaughters. It challemges the mind, and enables you to solve a “puzzle” without help of a computer.

ThinkFun Fifteen Puzzle Review: I was absolutely elated to get this game. First, it has been years since I’ve played it. More young people need to be exposed to it. The steel case makes it durable so it’s impervious to lots of wear and tear. The case protects it from damage too. I really enjoy this game, and I plan on buying one for each of the little kids and the big ones in my household.

UNO Flash Game

UNO Flash Game Review: This game is for 3 players or more. It is not the traditional Uno so if you are a hardcore Uno player, you might find a bit of trouble adjusting to how to play this (or you can be like us and tweek it a little to fit our style of playing). There are a variety of ways to play, you can set it for 4 seconds, 6 seconds or no timer (something I’d have to do if we played with the parents because they’d short circuit trying to play up to speed). The rules are detailed and descriptive on how to play each card and the unit itself is pretty solid.

UNO Flash Game Review: Last night i opened up the game and wanted to give it a try so my room mate and i read the instructions and started to play.I love uno attack and i felt this game would be fun also. The game really kept you on your toes and very alert”‘After playing for several hours we finally stopped and were going to play again today. My grandkids love the other uno game i have and i know they will just love this version. This is a great game for family time together.I cant wait till thanksgiving day as they will be here and will play the game as long as they want to.I have a feeling it will be several hours before we stop playing.I highly recommend the game.

Later Mater Game

Later Mater Game Review: I read the other bad reviews, but I thought my 3 year old son still would enjoy putting the pieces on the truck. He did, but the pieces do not stay on, even when the timer is turned off. My son found this very frustrating. Then, the third time we got the toy out to play, the timer mechanism broke completely, and unfortunately, this prevents the pieces from being put on the truck at all. This toy is a HUGE disappointment.

Later Mater Game Review: My son likes this toy but is not interested in putting it together before the time is up. The pieces are all over my house. I am still finding them from time to time. I am going to put all of it in some sort of bag to keep it together. He loves it but it is just too many pieces for his age (3, almost 4).

Dora the Explorer

Dora the Explorer Review: Both my daughters who are 4 and 5 yrs old enjoyed playing this game. This purchase was a replacement for one that they had played with so much, that the cd was no longer readable. I would highly recommend this for your little one. Great color graphics and lots of fun.

Dora the Explorer Description: Dora’s Teddy Bear, Osito, is lost. Join Dora, Boots, Backpack and Map on a journey to the Lost City, a mysterious, hidden place where all things go when they get lost. Along the way, you’ll meet Pirate Pig, Mama Bugga Bugga and Senor Tucan, and help them find their lost objects, too. Be on the lookout for hidden stars throughout the game and collect them all in the Star Pocket on Backpack.

Sports Challenge for Kids

Sports Challenge for Kids Review: If instructions are followed as printed, the offsides space on the board creates an infinite loop, not allowing anyone to finish and win this game ever. Hey, I enjoy playing games, but just not until the end of time. We fixed this on our game board by changing the space from “move back 5 spaces” to “move back 1 space”. I hope the publishers of this game update the board to fix this problem.

Sports Challenge for Kids Description: This board game mixes chance with learning all about a wide range of sports. Two to four kids use the board to play tabletop versions of soccer, basketball, and tennis while testing their knowledge of sports, from football and field hockey to baseball and bicycling.

ThinkFun Flipside

ThinkFun Flipside Review: If you know how to solve Ruben cube, and more importantly, how to find a solution to Ruben cube, this puzzle is much easier. Still it can take about half an hour to come with a complete solution. So it is a fun. The common thing it shares with Ruben cube is that both are about finite permutation groups. Searching for a solution usually starts with repetitative application of a fix permutation, which would equal identity. Then perturb the permutation a bit to get a simple generator of the group.

If you have not touched Ruben cube, this can be served as an introduction to brain teasers based on permutation groups. Forget abstract mathematics in the game. It is still enjoying. But people may lose interest after unsuccessful attemps without “theoretical” guidance.

VTech V.Flash SmartDisc

VTech V.Flash SmartDisc Review: I bought this game for my daughter for x-mas and she loves it. It’s the first game she and her friends want to play when they come over and they would play it for hours they say if i would let them. This is something i wish i had as a kid it shows learning can be fun.

VTech V.Flash SmartDisc Description: Visit the enchanted castle of the Disney Princesses. Vtech V.Smile Smartridge Cars

Vtech V.Smile Smartridge Cars Review: This game is heavily developed based on the actual movie. If you haven’t seen the movie, and/or your kid was too young to understand the plot, then they might not get the game.

Most of the adventures are based on the story plot. A lot of the adventures are a bit dumb, like McQueen bumping alphabet tires into a truck, McQueen tipping over the tractors based on counting smoke rings, McQueen herding the tractors back into the pen, McQueen driving down a long road and picking up shapes, McQueen driving down a road looking for Mack based on memory, McQueen dodging the firetruck water blast, etc. The only adventure I liked was the forklift picking up tire numbers and installing them on the race car.
