Trend Enterprises T53020 Spanish Action Words Flash Cards

Trend Enterprises T53020 Spanish Action Words Flash Cards Review: Beware, these cards have no english translations on them. Most of the illustrations seem self explanitory; however, there are a few that are questionable. For instance, one figure seems to be running or skipping and all you have to work with is the word “brincar.”

Luckily, I have a live-in translator who tells me that the word means “to hop.” On the other side of the card they use the word in a simple sentence (in the first person) “Yo brinco en un pie;” again, if you do not have a translator you’ll need to look it up yourself to find out that the sentence means, “I hop on one foot.”

Build Your Own Radio Control Car

Build Your Own Radio Control Car Review: This car is a well made product. The assemble is easy. You can see how the motors work. There is no gluing, the screws and wires are easy to tighten.

The only problem is that the right front wheel came out of it’s place. So I switched the screw with the other one and it seems to stay. I would reccomend this toy if your kids are into cars. This was a very fun toy for me.

Pokemon Ranger

Pokemon Ranger Review: Shadows of almia is a LOT better than the first one. The story mode walks you more clearer through the game. The first one was a little scrambled but this one is a lot more clearer. I’m still currently playing and cant seem to put it down.. Can’t wait to get further into the game and see what more unfolds! Also can’t wait to get the special quests done!

Pokemon Ranger Review: I am currently playing Pokemon Ranger: shadows of almia, and it is so different from the first. The missions which in the first lacked somewhat, are a lot harder. You also have Quests, which are things you are asked to do by villagers. When you first start out in the game you are a student at a Ranger school, where you learn how to play the game. After graduating you are sent to your home in chicole town. But you are a ranger in Veil town, which is nextdoor.

Carnival Games

Carnival Games Review: I would highly recommend this game. I decided we would go out and get this so my son and I would have something to play together. We love to play games together but I am not into the shooting games and such he likes. He is 9 and he plays this with his friends and he and I play it together. I love it and it even gives me exercise in the process. I find it to be pretty realistically true in the movement. As a single mom who loves finding things fun to do with her son I definitely recommend this.

Carnival Games Review: My family and I loved this game. It is a lot of fun and brings back the memories of the fair. It is more fun played as a family than one person alone. It is a great way to spend quality time together and play games that you enjoy at the fairs. Good luck and have fun with this game.

Triology Game

Triology Game Review: Triology is a neat game based on making sets of cards. I have played the SET Game for years and really like the challenging way Triology uses that idea. A SET is any three cards that are alike or completely different in each one of their features. In Triology you make SETS and put them down for points when it is your turn.

You get to make the SETS from the cards in your hand, plus the ones you draw or from any number of the discarded cards on the table. It is a real challenge. I especially like playing the advanced level where you can ’steal’ SETS from other players if you recombine their SET into 2 or 3 SETS by using cards from your hand and the cards in their SET. Really cool. Pretty deep. I love it.

EA Sports Plug and Play TV Games

EA Sports Plug and Play TV Games Review: Considering the overall age of this game it is still quite entertaining. The graphics are acceptable and the replay device let’s you see what happened fairly well. Would have been nice to have a playbook or a function to see the diagrams larger and longer than in play calling mode. I play against the computer and allow the game to generate the action so I don’t have to use all the keypad responses. It takes a bit of time to get a grip on the strengths and weaknesses of teams from 1994-5 but the game is consistant when certain matchups are repeated. All in all it’s not too bad.

I picked this up at a closeout price (too good to mention) because I loved both of these games on the Sega Genisis. They still move just as fast, and the playability is still about the same. The graphics are pretty good remembering what the genisis was like, few details are harder to see. Also the names of the players are not there, but that is ok. This is a great combination. I just hope they put together a college football package, my alltime favorite EA game. Check this out, the price is dropping and you can’t go wrong. This travels with me to play when I’m on call. Excellent toy for all ages.

ThinkFun Rush Hour

ThinkFun Rush Hour Description: Our original traffic jam game is pure bumper-to-bumper enjoyment and the most popular product we’ve ever created. Players set up the traffic on a game grid to match one of 40 playing cards, then try to maneuver the red car to escape the gridlock.

ThinkFun Rush Hour Review: I was looking for a toy for a child who’s only interested in action figure dolls, video games, and the care and feeding of animals on a computer. When he opened his present, the look was of horror and disgust. An adult picked the game up, opened it, read it, started playing it and soon he wanted to play it too. The adult explained as he went along the goal of the game and soon the child was playing the game by himself.

ThinkFun Visual Brainstorms

ThinkFun Visual Brainstorms Review: I love these cards! My single complaint is that their quality could be better. The card stock is too light and the plastic coating is barely noticeable. That aside, these are very challenging and entertaining mind puzzels. All of the cards have an added bonus to remember a specific detail about the picture on the card or some type of associated question.

The cards can be played solo, head to head, or in group settings. Each card also has a symbol on them which identifies it’s difficulty level as easy, hard, or extra hard. The packaging has some very clever ideas in how to “use” the cards like; play “one-a-day”, add one card to a note or letter to someone, give them out to quests as “exit gifts”, pass a hard one to a teacher or superior when everyone is looking, or just hand them out when the moment seems right!

Picture Word Flash Cards

Picture Word Flash Cards Review: I once taught a preschool and now use these for my kids. My daughter loves them. THe pictures are clear. Whats great about them is you can use them from the start and all the way up to 3rd grade. My son is in first and he uses them . He uses the back and tries to read it. My daughter uses the front where it has the words and the picture. The are also very steardy unlike other flash cards.

Picture Word Flash Cards Review: We’ve had a lot of fun with these cards. I have no feeling of cramming learning down my kids’ throats. I bought these for my 4-year-old in hopes of her learning a few sight words. Instead, my 2-year-old became interested as her vocabulary increased. I can see her pride as she knows the names of all the items. My older daughter is now 5 and loves the challenge of trying to read these, as well as the safety net of having the pictures right on the other side.
